NECA Victoria Apprentice Awards 2012

Management Training Announced

The NECA Skills Centre has announced commencement dates for two key industry specific management training courses to be run this year.

The Diploma in Electrical Project Management and the Certificate IV in Frontline Management are industry specific training courses.

The Diploma will commence on 17 February and the Cert IV on 20 February.  Places are strictly limited.

Revised Industry Standard for Electrical Installations on Construction Sites released

WorkSafe Victoria has recently released a revised edition of the Industry Standard for Electrical Installations on Construction Sites. Hard copies of the Industry Standard are currently unavailable, however an electronic copy can be downloaded from the WorkSafe website. Click here to download.

Australian Standards have also released the revised 2010 version of AS/NZS 3012:2010 Electrical Installations – Construction and Demolition Sites. NECA has copies of the revised AS/NZS 3012: 2010 available for members to purchase. Please contact NECA on 03 9645 5533 for further details.

New OHS Services

NECA Victoria has launched an expanded range of occupational health and safety services which are now available to members.  We recognise that members take their OHS responsibilities very seriously but often feel ill equipped to properly implement an OHS system into their business.  Members who purchase or have previously purchased NECA's OHS management system can now choose to take up an initial 12 months support option which provides expert, hands on assistance in the implementation of the system, staff induction into the system, mentoring and more.  While you can never outsource your OHS responsibilities, NECA can remove much of the hassle for you. Click here
