Right of Entry

Requirements of/conditions on the exercise of entry rights:
- do not allow a permit holder to enter any part of the premises that is used mainly for residential purposes
- may only be exercised during working hours
At least 24 hours (but not more than 14 days) prior to entry for purposes of investigating suspected breaches or to hold discussions, a permit holder must provide the employer/occupier with an entry notice specifying:
- the premises proposed to be entered;
- of day of entry;
- the permit holder's organisation; and
- details of the purpose for which entry is sought and of the rights of the permit holder's organisation to represent the industrial interests of the relevant employees.
