Requirements of/conditions on the exercise of entry rights:

• do not allow a permit holder to enter any part of the premises that is used mainly for residential purposes
• may only be exercised during working hours

At least 24 hours (but not more than 14 days) prior to entry for purposes of investigating suspected breaches or to hold discussions, a permit holder must provide the employer/occupier with an entry notice specifying:

• the premises proposed to be entered;
• of day of entry;
• the permit holder's organisation; and
• details of the purpose for which entry is sought and of the rights of the permit holder's organisation to represent the industrial interests of the relevant employees.
