Industry Training by the Industry for the Industry
NECA Announces Free Training for Contractors working in Domestic Construction.
The Building Code of Australia is changing here in Victoria in May 2011. The lighting requirements have changed significantly in line with the governments move towards sustainable housing.
A prime key to success in the electrical and communications industry is to ensure that you and your staff have the requisite skills to meet the demands of the marketplace.
An investment in training is an investment in the future of your business.
Most importantly, this is not limited to electrical and communications technical skills. It includes training in administration, tendering, contract administration, OHS, human resources and industrial relations.
To help you run a successful business NECA provides not only relevant but affordable industry specific training in key areas for contractors and their staff.
With a broad range of different courses on offer in both the Electrical and Communications areas and with specific courses designed to enhance you and your staff’s skills including Estimating, Testing, OHS Managers and the highly successful EcoSmart Electricians Program now being offered, the range of training has never been bigger.
OH&S is a key focus area and providing the training and resources to help contractors walk through this often complex area is a key service that NECA provides. The OHS managers course can be seen as the backbone of this program and this is supported with a number of area specific training courses which supplement the skills and knowledge that is required.
Developing business skills and acumen is just as important as the technical skills required to work in the electrical and communications industry.
NECA has developed a suite of training courses designed to provide the contractor with a range of skills that can provide the basis for a strong and viable contracting business.
Need something specific?
NECA also provides special customised training for contractors and their staff, either on site or in our specifically developed and centrally located training facility in South Melbourne.
